Wouldn't it be wonderful if every state's Dem Party did the same!! Isn't Russ Feingold a senator from Wisconsin? I'm not surprised the Dems would call for impeachment-Feingold voted 'no" to the IRW.

Good idea, let's see some more states follow Wisc Dems.

Saturday afternoon during their annual State Convention at the Park Plaza in downtown Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin adopted the following resolution:

CALLING ON THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS TO INITIATE IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS AGAINST PRESIDENT BUSH, VICE PRESIDENT CHENEY AND DEFENSE SECRETARY RUMSFELD FOR HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS

WHEREAS, the Downing Street Memo shows that Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld began planning and executing the war on Iraq before seeking Congressional and UN approval;

WHEREAS, UN weapons inspectors showed prior to the invasion that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq; and

WHEREAS, there is further mounting evidence that the Administration lied or misled about "mushroom clouds," "connections to 9/11," and "war as a last resort" as they sought UN, Congressional, and public approvals;

THEREFORE, RESOLVED, the DPW asks Congress to immediately begin impeachment proceedings against President Bush, Vice President Cheney and Defense Secretary Rumsfeld.

Dream on!! No way the Republicans will get on board if the Dems couldn't even figure out what to do about Iraq before the invasion and still can't agree what to do with Iraq post invasion. Good grief, most of the states' Dem U.S. Senators voted for the IWR. They're still trying to figure out whether or not invading Iraq was a good thing even though Saddam had no WMD that threatened the U.S. !! You know, that catch phrase "spreading democracy throughout the Arab world" really must appeal to the sensibilities of some of those Dem senators.

"CALLING ON THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS TO INITIATE IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS AGAINST PRESIDENT BUSH, VICE PRESIDENT CHENEY AND DEFENSE SECRETARY RUMSFELD FOR HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS"

However, the "pols" are attempting what they strangely perceive as necessary "damage control" such that the resolution isn't appearing at places like the Democratic Party of Wisconsin website. And, of course, it isn't getting out into the world of corporate media.

Yet and still, it's a good sign. Go, Wisconsin!

This appears to be true. A friend just sent me an email confirming that he had talked to a Wisc. Dem. Party Official and the answer is yeas it's true.
