Alex Jones is a flake, and those of us in the pro-gun community realize it. I've spoken to the situation in NO in other posts.
While many of or gun rights have been eroded to an extent, I'm not concerned about wholesale confiscation by the federal government.

Glad to hear it. I have not read your posts on this. But I will keep an eye out for stories from other sources.

On CNN one man with a gun was protesting about forced evacuation from his home, and CNN said the man was later arrested.

An elderly woman, looking frightened, holding a gun was forcibly removed from her home on CNN. (Alex Jones claims a gun was confiscated from an old woman who was forcibly evicted.)

Those who fled their homes to go to the shelter of last resort were searched for guns as they entered the Superdome.

I tried the NRA website but, guess what, they did not have a news section. After all they make profits from kidding people up that a gun is really useful, when the above stories show that when you really need one they take it off you. They have invested everything in the fact that the government will not take away guns. So they are not likely to report that guns end up confiscated.
