Yeah, but methinks my point is no one would ever know that by the faulty legislation he pushes and false rhetoric he spews, eh?

Im surprised no one has come by and said that Im a horrible parent for letting my beloved daughter touch one of those "evil killing machines". She still needs work on keeping her finger straight and off the trigger, but she is learning, When I take her shooting with me I'll shoulder the gun and she gets to pull the trigger. That worked good until the day she rapid fired a 8 round enbloc clip in my M-1 Garand, she pulled the trigger pretty fast, as my shoulder could tell later on, little bit sore but not bad LOL

I'm a bit surprised too!...Maybe the folks here are starting to come around.
I think I can excuse the trigger finger on your four year old daughter...but this on the otherhand...I can't.

She must have got the idea for this photo op from Patty Hearst.
Hope this weapon is safe since she is pointing it at bystanders.

Not being in to guns as much as the people on this thread (so far) I did notice your daughters finger.
I was cutting her some slack since it does not appear it would reach the gard? if she tried.
Maybe if we would teach our children the truth about guns, and how to use them safely, maybe we would have a differnt view towards guns.
ps Nice build.

Noonanda, you have a beautiful daughter. I used to be anti-guns but I've learned better. After all if the other guy has one and you have not got one it is not going to end happily. If you both have one then you may be able to negotiate a peace. The Darfurian villagers should have been armed to the teeth, and so should anyone flying in a plane where terrorists might have guns.
That is the only problem with guns, if you wanted to go and help some people in say, New Orleans, and you lived thousands of miles away, you would not get on a plane with a gun. How do you get around that one?

Actually lazyboy...you can travel with guns. You just can't have them on your person, as they have to travel with your baggage in the luggage compartment.

I think it's also a good idea to tell the airline one will be travling on ahead of time that there is or are guns that will be in the checked baggage.

you by law must declare a firearm is part of your checked baggage. I have not had to do so, but I know people who have. and they say it is not a big deal, the airline asks the usual "is it unloaded and in a locked case". The biggest concern is that someone ie baggage handler might decide he needs it more than you and steal it.

Excuse my ignorance, but are you allowed to carry firearms around town? I ask this because I think I read somewhere that you cannot carry concealed weapons, and I suppose that means you cannot carry them openly. I don't know the laws there in the USA> Here it is unheard of for someone to own a gun, unless they belong to the yakuza, or are a policeman. I am also equally ignorant of the British law on guns. Farmers obviously have them for hunting.

It depends on each individual state law, lazyboy. In Missouri...We have the option to carry concealed with permit. Open carry is guaranteed in our state’s constitution.
packing.org is the number one website for each state's law in this regard.

Thanks for the link, Steve. I doubt if I will be going to the USA - anyway I am probably on some CIA blacklist.
But all this is making me think again about Michael Moore who might turn out to be what they call a Left gatekeeper. Someone who pretends to represent the left but in fact is part of the plan to take away peoples liberties. I also think, like my husband said after watching Farenheit 911, that he was allowed to make that film, but is privy to a lot more information that he won't divulge.

I think Rush Limbaugh is a Right Gatekeeper. He pretends to represent the rights of gunowners but he supports the government controlling everything. What do you think? The more I hear CNN giving him free and favorouble publicity the more I think it.
