We have all learned the importance of one blue state. In 2000 it was Florida. In 2004 it was Ohio. In 2008 it could be Michigan. We cannot allow that to happen. We need your help to keep Michigan blue.

Michigan’s Democratic Governor, Jennifer Granholm, is up for re-election in November. Her Republican opponent, Dick DeVos, is a multi-billionaire whose family is the largest single contributor of soft money to the national Republican Party.

Mr. DeVos has publicly committed to spend 60 million dollars of his family fortune to unseat a progressive, motivational, and dynamic leader who works diligently not only for the people in her state, but for Democrats nationally.

We cannot let Mr. DeVos destroy Michigan the way that Bush destroyed good will among the United States and the rest of the world. Mr. DeVos is an extreme conservative candidate who:

has raised the issue of ending Medicare in Michigan.
supports many of George Bush’s policies including shipping jobs overseas and trade agreements that hurt our economy.
has been endorsed by Right to Life of Michigan, and that means DeVos agrees to a Human Life Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, effectively establishing personhood from the moment of conception
as Amway CEO, invested over $200 million in China while laying off workers in Michigan, and has offered no plan for Michigan’s economy.
