RENO, Nev. Jun 12, 2006 (AP)— A judge was shot at the Washoe County courthouse Monday, and police closed off several surrounding blocks as a SWAT team was called in, authorities said.
There is no immediate word on the identity or condition of the judge.
Reno police spokesman Steve Frady confirmed that a judge was shot on the third floor of a building housing the Family Court section, on the south end of Reno's downtown casino district. Frady said he believes the judge is alive.
