Ogunquit: Measure to censure President George W. Bush passes
OGUNQUIT — Residents voted in favor of censuring President George W. Bush Tuesday.
A request to censure the President, brought forth by a citizen's petition, passed by a vote of 211 to 141. The question on the ballot asked the town if a request should be made to Maine's Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins to make a motion for censure.
Voters also voted in favor of buying a new police cruiser and rejected another petitioned article that would allow certain types of restaurants in the limited business district of the town.
