Watchin' local primary election night coverage methinks the attempt by the far right to Lieberman Senator Lincoln Chafee and the far left to do the same to Congressman Jim Langevin failed miserably!

With 'bout 90% of precincts reportin' 'twould seem unaffiliated voters (maybe 60% of Little Rhody's registered voters) flocked to vote in the GOP primary with probably a 50% larger participation than had been predicted and breakin' the old record for a GOP primary by over 40%. Bottom line is that Senator Chafee wins by 'bout 10%, eh?

In the Democrats' primary for the Second Congressional District seat now held by Jim Langevin 'twould seem the incumbent wins by over 20% over Brown University professor Jennifer Lawless. This happened notwithstandin' support for the challenger from the same forces so important in Ned Lamont's primary win over Senator Lieberman a little over a month ago.

In the end outside forces failed miserably to interfere in RI politics, eh? The people of Rhode Island have spoken!

Power to the "Independent Man", our state symbol and character of the polulace.
