For those who live around Pittsburgh, Al Franken will be joining Jason Altmire (Democratic canidate for Congress) at a private cocktail party. Me and my son will also be there ( if anyone cares). The new Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl will also join us for the evening. The date is October 13th. The time is 8PM. Donation is $150. I feel this will be a fun time. I ususally do not go to expensive political events but I must make an exception in this case. I am sure I will hear a lot of inside funny stuff when Al has a few. tongue.gif tongue.gif Call Sharon at 724-274-1776 to reserve your spot.

I have just returned from the party. In excess of $20,000 was raised for the campaign of Jason Altimire. There was at least 150 people in attendence. The wine flowed freely and Al Franken told lots of jokes. We were told that it takes $10,000 a day to stay on the air in the Pittsburgh market. So two days TV time was raised. I even got my Al Franken hardback book autographed (Al put my Sharpy pen in his pocket and moved on). I had a good time. It was worth every penny.

Just to complete the story, Jason Altmire beat Hart by 10,000 votes. The Tom Delay ass kissing Hart should have paid more attention to her district and not to her party ranking.
